Went through this a few years ago when i converted my 69 with parts from a 72. Do not remember one side's fitting being bigger than the other. Maybe I got lucky and installed them on the correct side on the first try.

Autozone and Advance did not carry 72 c-10 hoses at the time.
Advance suggested using hoses from a Impala/Caprice.

Ended up ordering 72 c-10 brake hoses from Napa and had to wait a couple days for them to arrive.
