if i was building a sport/show truck i'd use a 67/68 hood with a 71/72 grille. i really like the blue bow tie. all the trucks since 72 were gold. and i don't really like the gmc grilles at all....they look too "busy" with the quad headlights. but i am naturally a chevy guy more than a gm guy. with the later i'd just shave it and run a phantom grille or something. but as previously stated, everyone has their preference and the differences help us quickly reference the year of each truck (unless some pulls a sneaky).
