Yes, the 67-68 core is different from the 69-72. Again, headlight buckets as well as the air dam on the 67-68. It would require cutting and welding buckets to get a swap. There may be other differences I haven't noted.

I bought a new core that was a Goodmark one. Really, Really didn't like it. The nuts were on the wrong sides of the skin. In other words, instead of a bolt going throught the skin into the square nut, it would pass through the nut first. Think about the angle bracket that bolts to the fender. Instead of sitting flush to the core, it would sit against the square nuts. I was sure it would cause alignment problems. Returned it and searched this board for a decent OEM one. (my 2 cents).

I'd love to hear of someone using one successfully.
