For my 76 Chev, I would like to upgrade my wiper situation from 2spd to intermittent. Is it only the switch replacement? And what year can this be found from.

As well as is there something I can do to stop my wiper fluid from 'pulsing' and drowing my windshield with fluid five times after its already clean? A switch for the pump that only gives fluid when I hold it would be nice.
