I`ve been in a situation where I needed a tube for my tubeless tire that had damage,was repaired,but needed a tube to assure it stayed inflated.A new tire was 10x as expensive as a tube and the set was worn enough that I didn`t want 1 new tire and 3 with 75% tread.Makes sense to me.
I agree. Tires are expensive. Especially off road tires.
I have installed a tube several times because of damage/patch to a tire.
Also remember to rub baby powder all over the tube before installing. It lubricates the tube against the tire.
