Found it in Easterly, TX. Small town between Franklin & Buffalo. Best part was the owners name -- Mr. Calvin Perkins!! He was the original owner and parked back in 1986 under a lean to next to the barn because the brakes locked up. He bought the truck new from A&B Motors in Bremond Texas back in 69. Still has the dealer sticker on the tailgate (faded) & matching stamped dealer bumper with the same name. Short story is this --- my brother is a Deputy Sheriff in that county (Robertson county) as was serving a warrant to I believe the grandson. During his time at the house he noticed the truck and asked about it. The family said the old man had died in the mid 90's and never got to get it running again and had since been sitting and didnt think it was worth selling (glad it didnt turn into a chicken coop)!! Plus, they said the ol' timer only used the truck to go to town to pick up feed & hay and to drive around the 500acre farm to spread the feed & hay --- CHA CHING!! Money changed hands a few weeks later & I had to replace complete -- , front wheel bearings, shocks, exhaust (was missing) all brakes & hardware (EVERYTHING) inside & outside handles, mirrors, tires, bulbs for lights, front bumper, re-weld rear bumper brkts (was broken due to pulling out of shed), plywood for the bed, upper & lower rad. hoses, general tune up, removed smog pump, new battery, etc. All said I have $1700 buying the truck and $1600 getting it back on the road.

A true Barn Fin

Driven daily!! When I got the truck it had 42,000 miles. I've owned it for 2 years now and it has 56,000. I anything I plan to drive it more and possible swap out the 411 rear for better freeway mileage (10-13 mpg sucks, but shes paid for)!!
