[69 Short Fleet]

Hi All: Just put on my new interior window handle / door handle and the window handle fits really tight with the escutcheon behind it, and the door handle fits kind of loose with the escutcheon behind it, are they supposed to fit like that or are they both supposed to be snug??? I can't believe a stupid little thing like this is getting on my nerves, its been 6 years since I've had them off so I can't remember. Any help would be great, thanks, Doug
