I have always had good luck just tapping on it wit a small hammer near the hose end of line, the key is to just strike it easy and bend it slowly. Of course watching carefully that the line does not kink, by tapping it easy with the hammer you can see it start to kink (if chooses too) and stop before it becomes a problem.

Kevin, if you can bend those lines with your hands, what have you been doing in your spare time......LOL.
