Yes it would, mine use to do the same. I cleaned out the drip rail and used some 3m seam sealer.


Also had a question regarding the weight of the bed. Is this something that a single person could possibly hook a hoist too and move it back a foot for painting and then set back in place?

Yes, I also did the same thing with my hoist.
