But my biggest issue is i know from experience that bench seats don't offer too much support, especially when taking corners. So i wanted to find some ideas for a race inspired seat, one that resembles the support of a street race style seat, but is incorporated in a full bench set up. Surely someone has done this before?
I had my original bench seat re-done with high-density foam (removed all of the metal springs) formed with bolsters on the sides, lumbar support, in a bucket seat pattern, and then covered in leather. Check out some of the custom seats done with Glide and Tea bench seat foundations to get an idea.
