Sorry to hear your wife wants you to get rid of it.
The 1966 C-10 POS (wife's term) of mine is my therapy. If I didn't have it to study, ponder improvements and work on, I would have ended our marriage 5 years ago.
She hates the color, has driven it twice and thinks it's a gas hog.
Well, I don't owe any money on it, and I paid $200 for mine. It runs, but needs tires, wheels, radiator, etc.
I have working lights, heater and wipers. In fact, the electrics are good front to rear and everywhere on this.
Your seats are the set up I would like to put into mine, but I think my dog wouldn't care if the arm rest is there or not. She doesn't use one now, as my '66 doesn't have any on either door.
I feel your pain ( emotional, that is) and hope all works out.
