Question

How do you have your fans setup? Do you do any towing? How often are they on?

I ask because I did this conversion on my 69 Cutlass. Went with an aluminum radiator and dual fans. I have the first fan kick on at 195* and the second fan will kick on when it gets to be 220*. The fans never kick on during 70* days of in town driving, unless I am idling a lot. And the second fan has only kicked on twice and that was while I was setting it up.

I ask because I have seriously considered doing this to my 82 Scottsdale K10. But I am afraid that I wouldn't be able to move enough CFM's to keep it cool. It has A/C on it as well. I think that it would do alright with normal driving, but I am afraid that it wouldn't be enough to keep it cool when towing.

Let me know how your setup works and if anyone else is running an electric setup, I'd like feedback on your setup as well. Fan diameter, shrouds, CFM, etc, etc.

Thanks!
