I don't know when mine was installed but what I do know is that cruise was on it when my dad bought the truck. It was in the mid 80's and it had 107K on the clock. At that time the truck looked show room new and the cruise certainly looked original to the truck. I remember commenting on it when he brought the truck home. My guess would be, as some have already stated, the truck was purchased new in late 72 early 73 and the cruise was installed at that time by the dealer.
