I made the perches out of 2.5 X2.5 X 0.25" wall thickness square tubing. I cut the pieces 5" long and notched them for the 3-3/8" diameter axle. I then boxed the ends in with 0.25" thick plate and ground the welds smooth. I don't think they will ever fail me.

As far as the disk drakes go, I am piecing it together. I bought the caliper brackets from Echobit for $70 shipped and the brake hose kit from A-tron for $62 shipped. The rotors and calipers I purchased from Autozone. They fit a 1977 K20 Dana 44.
