I would go for a cam with an advertised duration in the 260* range. that will give you good idle, torque and vacuum. You could easily have an 87 octane motor and your 275-300hp!

Well, my goal isn't a maximum of 300 HP. If I could make more, that'd be great, but I don't want 500, either. 300 is a good round number that is achievable with decently priced parts, and shouldn't blow the trans or rear-end.
