The hi-pops give a better atomization that helps even with a lower volume of fuel.I have hi-pops in my stock`92 6.5TD.It`s 60 more hp,but same pump.You can turn your timing up a notch and cram more air with a N/A to get close to stock turbo power.EGTs aren`t a big concern with N/A.You could get a`97-up 125 gpm water pump.It`s reverse rotation.I have a modified for MFI dual thermostat crossover,too,as well as that pump.Was it just a head gasket problem or a cracked head?Do you know they sleeve water passages to toughen up the heads?BD does that,but I`d look closer.Diesel Depot/Avant Engines in Anderson,SC does great work.
