Mine is all plastic and strange looking. My company's work truck has the exact same one that I pictured, it's a 2007 Silverado 2500 CLASSIC (aka same body style as the 2006). I'm thinking they changed from your style to this all plastic crap at some point, maybe??? I seem to remember my Dad's 2005 1500 looking like yours. Either way, I think I am going to try to find one like you have, I'm betting the connector and wiring is identical.
