Let's hope you can find the sticker.If not there may be someone here that may have ideas finding info through the VIN.????? If it was a Canadian built truck you could retrieve the history for a fee. 305 w/2barrel was offered in the 79 GMC brouchure so that's not an issue.You've done alot of nice work to your truck so far so it just comes to personal preference. If it were a SC it would be fairly scarce so I would think the value would be higher as stock.With that said,drive it ,enjoy it,you have a nice truck SC or not. Let me know what you find out.
