After checking all my clearances and torquing the crank down. I assembled the rods to the pistons, making sure the wrist pin keepers were in place good..I then installed my top two rings into the cylinder, squared them up in the hole with the piston top,then used a feeler gauge to check the ring gap while in the hole. Then installed them on that piston and install in that hole.Then rotate the engine to check clearance each time. Did all eight this way.
