Re: Dropping a 3/4 ton Suburban?

On occasion I'll be hauling a 3600 lb race car to the track. Race car will be on a basic dual axle car trailer. Throughout the season I'll be hauling my vendor booth stuff to car shows, all my junk will fit in the back of the Burby and maybe weighs 3-400 lbs total. For the most part this will be my wife's daily driver, hauling kids to school and groceries home. I figure if I end up having to tow a lot I can put on those towing helper air bags. Again I don't want to get too radical with it, just want a subtle drop to put the fender lips about level with the top of 29-30" tall tires. Right now they're about 3"+ above them.

I thought perhaps I can pull a leaf or two (?) but I have no experience with how much of a change in height and load capacity this makes. Got something in mind? Looking forward to hearing your ideas...
