I've never seen an original chrome cover that came from the factory either.

We do tend to forget that there were a lot of hotrodders in the 50's and 60's that liked to chrome everything they could. Especially since there weren't a lot of aftermarket vendors in those days and chroming was cheap and not as regulated as it is today.

I'd buy it if the price was reasonable.
