My 1986 2WD C-10 (model #CC10903) was a base price of $8,463. With Silverado options, extras, and a $475 dest. charge it stickered at $13,156. It was a demo unit with 1500 miles on it when my dad bought it so he got it at $11,792 + tax/tag/title. He got the dealer to throw in a bedliner for free as well.
Those were the days. The first new truck I bought was a 2001 GMC Sierra C3. You can take the first two numbers on the sticker price of my '86, reverse them, add several thousand more and that's what has happened to truck prices these days.
