I went through a very similar situation just recently. I ended up selling all my projects and toys to pay for our wedding. It was all my idea since I didn't want her to think she made me do it. It was so nice paying for the wedding in cash and having zero debt from it. Its been a little under year since the wedding and I already have a new project car and will be getting my truck shortly. In the end these are still just vehicles that can be replaced. You seem to be level headed enough for your age and I am sure will make the best decision based on your family's needs.
