Ok so the time came to put the new weather stripping in my truck and the dreaded vent window seals. The ones i took off are far more superior then the crappy ones i got from lmc. The factory ones had a metal "spine" with couple clips that you bend to hold it in place the aftermarket ones dont which i guess i can use that weatherstrip adhesive to hold it in place. while taking it apart i came with up with a good idea cause i know how hard that pivot rivet is to redo i got out my dremel and tok out the rivets in the frame that hold the actual hinge.
When i go to put it back together im just going to spot weld them back in place.
The question i have for you guys is what can i do for the pivot stop washer, kind of like the "d-shaped" washer and the other parts for the re-assembly of the vent window. i got the new pivot springs from lmc but im still missing everything else. Anyone have some detailed pictures of how the vent window is taken apart, or assembled.
