Note they usually don't come with a float to tell you the level in them. I have one saddle on my truck and used a gauge/float kit from JC Whitney.

If you find a set-up make sure you grab the 3-way valve that is usually mounted to the left of the driver on the floor.

Good question. My 67 C-10 has the in-cab tank only now but someone in the past had installed dual side saddle tanks with filler doors in the bed sides but they had been removed before I got the truck. It does still have the three way valve on the floor at least.

I will take some measurements of the tanks on my 78 and see if they can be made to fit. They have the same frame rail spacing so I don't see why not.
