I tried a DA sander also...I gave up quickly with that

. I ended up buying some Clean and strip disc's for my angle grinder.
They worked well but keep them moving to avoid heat build up. Used the same to strip my hood and doors. I still sent my stuff to the sandblasters to get the area's that could not be stripped with the disc's.
