A holley red pump is pre set to 7.5psi- great for a holley, a lil too much for the carter/edelbrock. Just get a normal $25 holley regulator and install in line. There is no need for a return line with either the pump or the regulator. I use the regulator in both my trucks. I use a red pump and holley 750DP in the 78, a carter 9psi and carter 600cfm in my 79.
