Happy to finally able to post on this site - I've lurked for over 2 years with dreams of posting in the '47 - '59 section (which i still do hope to some day).
After 12 years, my dad decided to upgrade (2009 GMC Sierra Crew 4x4), so he sold me his 1997 GMC Sierra K1500 (bought new in Nov, 1997). He's taken really good care of it and it only has around 100K miles. I have great memories of traveling to many baseball tournaments in this truck during my high school years, and I hope to drive my son (20 months old) to baseball games in it too.
This picture was made on the day I picked it up from his house about 4 months ago.
