yeah, if you look at those photos relating how low they are to the A-arms, it looks like those Tri-Y's give you quite a bit more clearance compared to that lower most primary on the Hedman's.

Also something else I'm kind of wondering is, what is the primary diameter on those Hedmans? 1 3/4"? Might have been a bit too much for your motor, stealing low-end and putting it up top. Might notice some good low-end gains with those more mid-length and smaller dia. 1 5/8" primary Thorleys.
