Sam is right. The engine you pictured is not a 235. The 230 and 235 engines are 2 totally different animals and the one you pictured is a 3rd generation 6 cyl Chevy that began prouction in 1962. The 235 comes from the 2nd generation 6 cyl family and that aren't one!

The stamped rocker arms are a dead giveaway, because they didn't appear until the introduction of the 3rd gen family (194/230/250/292).
