I have a 99 Tacoma with a 2.4L. I have always run the cheapest Dino oil I can find in it. I don't run additives of any kind in it but I do change the oil every 3,000 mi. (105 changes to date) The truck now has 320,000 miles on it and it runs like the day I bought it. Never burned a drop of oil and nothing has ever broken.
