Here is my simple solution to keeping the stock radio + adding some new ability to the truck. There are holes under the dash from the previous owner which I happily re-used! The unit is my Sirius Satellite radio which is able to dock in the garage as well. I can use the audio input from the satellite for my MP3 player as well.
