Mine is installed just like 83burban mentioned. I have had this system in 3 different cars over the past 4 years and love it. The FM adapter was around $20.00 which allows the hard wire to the radio. The beauty of it, is that it cancels out any other signal coming into the radio which gives the static free signal. I pay every 3 months and I think (wife pays the bills) its around $40.00 every cycle. I always said I would never pay for radio but I love my Sirius! The biggest perk for getting a docking radio is that I have a dock in the garage for when I work on my projects. It also makes road trips great for commercial free, non station hunting radio. I forget how much the radio itself was as it was a gift from the wife.
