I looked at the verter, and the bolt patern does in fact apear to be the same.
Here is the verter with the stock part number sticker on it still (I think that is a part number)

And the tranny. The dipstick can be seen in this shot too.

The oil on the tranny case is mostly from spillage while draining it at the shop, and also from the idiots at work spilling other oils on it. t was all while it was sitting witht eh tail shaft in the air though...so no other oils got into the case its self.
