I am going to use a 700R4 in mine, just because I have it and it is already built. If I was starting again, I would use a 2004R from Phoenix transmissions. They hold more HP than the 700R4 and have a better shift pattern. I have one in my Rs/SS 69 Camaro. I am going to use one behind my LS6 454.
