The Suburban tank will fit between the frame rails. You may need to trim a little, but the ourside of the frames are the same width. Now where you may run into problems is in the length (front to rear). Most of those Suburban tanks are fairly large, so consequently they are somewhat long. If you could afford it going with a new replacement '69-'72 Blazer tank might be worth the added expense. You would have a brand new clean gas tank. Fighting a bunch of junk ending up in your carburator constantly can be frustrating.
