Hey Mike ! No frame mods have been done to fit those tires. All the pics on my build thread are of these tires, except the last one that shows the 31x16 wides. Even with the new tires, there is still plenty clearance.

Here are the pics showing the clearance with the new, wider tires. The 29's had even more clearance. Around 1 " more !
