I know where you're coming from. I pondered this for a while. We did a mock-up on photoshop and it looked okay with the black paint and flames. Plus we're getting rid of a bunch more body lines in the fenders/hood/bumper and grille.
I dig constructive criticism, it helps. What does suck, however, is that now I'm gonna be second guessing this all day tomorrow at work. Nothing has been cut yet.
