Well done! You have patience my friend, just how long did it take you?

I always try the heat gun first, but another way I have found is to spray on some WD-40 and let it soak. Once removed, put it in a warm safe place for a few months, it will eventually dry, just a bit darker, and it works ok unless you were to reuse it. The orange goo remover works in the same way but seems to have a lot more oil in it and doesn't feel like it ever drys.
I pulled a few this way so I could scan them on a flatbed scanner and then fix 'em up in Photoshop.
