I wouldn't think there would be anything dangerous about them, but I can't imagine them doing anything good to the truck's ride.

Yeah I'm not sure about thie trucks history. I'm the third owner and the first one lowered it. The shackle kit brought the back down almost two inches. The clamps didn't work ( the bolts weren't long enough) which is probably a good thing. So I rolled the fenders as much as I could and ordered a one inch coil. I'll post pics once tommorow or I can just pm them. Thanks for the replies badgmc
