This site is feeling very friendly already.
I've solved my problem with the P/S pump.
A friend of mine who owns a foreign car garage told me to
bring him the P/S pump and he'll do a helicoil treatment on
it to mend the stripped mounting bolt.
This is like tapping it to a larger size and putting an insert in
so the original bolt will fit securely again.
I was going to attempt it myself, but he started talking about precise tapping and breaking tabs on the helicoil so I decided to accept his offer of a cheap fix. Now my only issues are the tail light functions, clutch adjustment, and finding a spare tire/rim.
