i hooked up the white to brown wire. i ran the red wire from the pigtail to the output post. threw out all the other stuff for the external regualtor and ran a 10 gauge wire from the output post to the junction block. i got an alterantor from a 76 or 78 suburban. it's rated at 63 or 67 amps. can't remember if you want, i can go out and look at my set up and tell you exactly how it's wired up. it's been running flawless for about a year now. if you follow the wires on a new car, this is the way they wired them up. i used my camaro as an example for the change over. it's pretty easy once you compare it to a newer car
