Does anyone use the tank carpet with bench seat to help with sound supression and clean up the look at the rear edge of the seat, or is this only a bucket seat thing?

What was the factory treatment for bench seat trucks for the tank? Cardboard tank cover or on driver's side should you be able to see the tank?

Been thinking of getting the cardboard and carpet to clean up the look. Not sure about spending my money on that though. If I go this route I need the info in this thread.
