Felpro Z1212 is the correct gasket btw.
If you still have problems with it leaking than I would suspect the gasket.
Edelbrock doesn't even sell a steel core gasket and the 7203 Summit list as steel core is incorrect its not steel.
Also Chevrolet didn't use steel core intake gaskets on 69 Z28's (w/ aluminum intakes) either btw if I an not mistaken.

Well Lets hope it doesn't leak anymore. There is a difference in both of those gaskets besides what you mentioned. The one on the TOP is the one I used Z1210 , and the one on the BOTTOM is the one you suggested I use correct for aluminum intakes Z1212. If it were to ever leak again I am hoping it never does but if it did . Would I have a problem useing the Z1212? Because of the two differences in the metal squares? Why does the Z1212 have a hole in the middle of the little metal squares? Does this matter? How would this Affect my motor/intake manifold ? Would there have been a specific reason the mechanic who put the motor together used this gasket to began with, Because of the little differences in the metal tabs? Man I think this is getting complicated for me,Can anyone explain the two differences to me. I am just trying to understand the two like I stated above I have never done anything like this before and just in case it ever does leak again and I have to change it again. I can change it useing the correct gasket that you mentioned without haveing to worry about the differences in the metal tabs? Thanks for the help and sorry for all the questions.
