I'm running 3/8" steel hard line on mine. I got two of the longest pieces available and joined them together with a double female inverted flare fitting. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the passenger inside frame rail where it runs.

If you go with hard line, my personal opinion is to avoid the new green or black hand formable tubing. I stick with the old silver hard line which is still available at some of the independent parts stores. Using expensive English roller tubing benders, the green/black stuff is the only tubing I've ever had kink and fold over in many decades of forming tubing.
