Dropping a Truck in 2 Stages

So I've had this idea and I just wanted to put it out there for you guys that have been down this path before...

I'm thinking about getting the 2/4 Drop kit from either ECE or CPP this Summer and checking to see if it's enough of a drop for my truck. I live in the Midwest and every spring and summer the pot holes outnumber the people in my town. In my head I'm thinking doing the 2/4 with just springs, shocks, shock mount relocaters, and adjustable track bar this summer and see how well the truck handles the crappy roads... then if it does well next summer I'll do the front disc brake/drop spindle/lowering block on conjunction with the 2/4 and set the truck down on a 4/6 drop.

Don't get me wrong I would love to jump straight to the 4/6 drop with the disc upgrade but my budget isn't going to allow that all at once. This truck is what I call a semi-daily driver... I plan on driving it maybe 1 to 2 days a week and Weekend Cruises, Carshows, Drive In nights, ect...

Does this sound like a logical route to take?
