If slammed is of primary importance you'll be much happier in the long run getting rid of the torsion bar suspension. The problem being when the t-bars are unwound to drop the front, the adjusting arms under the cab hang down further and further the more it is lowered until they become an obstruction to safe driving. There's no reason to get rid of the entire frame however, just the 60-62 front suspension.
