Yup it is fairly normal if you want something STRAIT. Still remember thou, there is only maybe a 1/16th on there at most. never over do it.

Honestly, alot of those shows still butcher theirs cars, they finish mudwork in 80 grit, then poly prime the entire car and block it out then re prime with primer and block it out again, and alot of their gaps are made with mud. I have seen them first had, they are nice cars but they are not a metal masters car, just a mud masters. Hope I do not offend anyone out there, but the TV cars that I have worked on are nothing speacial. BTW it is never OK to use alot of mud, but it does make our life a lot easier some days, but also you can spend more time mudding than it would take to rough out the metal properly in the first plac.
Looks great bud! My Bird is supposed to arrive tomorrow I wanted to follow my uncle down, but I had to leave NY on Sunday and he wanted to stay longer.

I hope it looks sweet when done.................... I haven't seen it since we laid down the first coat of primer and it didn't look so cool. LOL

Yah that Monte is nice, doing mud work can take a really long time and be a pain in the arse, that is for sure. Hope to see a pic of the vette soon!
