I had this on car years ago, (my first car actually, a 68 Merc 2drht with a 428) if I left the high beams on too long it would overheat the circuit breaker for the headlights and they would ALL go OUT!! Then it would reset itself and they'd come back on - damn near dirtied my shorts the first time it happened
