Yes the 1" or 1.250" refers to the thickness of the rotors. No the '88 and later light duty 2500 6 lug rotors won't work on the '84 spindles. You have to use the '88 and later 1500 or LD2500 spindles with those rotors. There are a few guys here using manual dual reservior masters. I recommend the ones for the '71-'75 pickups. You'll still need the proportioning valve from a '71-'87 with either manual or power brakes.
